Onism is the awareness of how little of the world you will get to experience. This blog will follow my adventures as I see as much of this world as I can. I hope to let you experience these adventures through this digital ink and encourage you to get up and travel as well. So for the time being sit back, relax, and read on.

Belize: Liberty Children's Home Week 2

After 2 weeks in Belize I feel like I've fully adjusted to being away from home. While I definitely miss the conveniences of the US it's been nice to not have a lot of the distractions. While at Caye Caulker last week I bought pringles and oreos. Which were done by Monday night... The preschool was slightly stressful this week, for no particular reason other than it being a preschool, and the WIFI died Tuesday at lunch... My routine had been to watch an episode of Psych during lunch and catch up with everyone after work at the preschool but with the WIFI down I've had to make adjustments. The rest of the week had me playing solitaire in my down time. I've never won this game before I started playing here and I've now won 4 times. While at Caye Caulker last week I bought pringles and oreos. Which were done by Monday night...

Friday I got to participate in a pretty cool event. I was able to march in a parade with the preschool I work at. The parade included all of the schools in Ladyville, Belize and ended with a rally. It was really hot, I got a sunburn, but it was a lot of fun.

I have changed my plans for the trip. I had originally planned on 2 months here in Belize but have decided to cut it short. I'll be leaving after only 1 month. Despite this shortening I have definitely come to know Belize as another one of my "homes." This has already been a life changing experience and I can't wait to see what the rest of the trip teaches me.

P.S. I think I've eaten my weight in tortillas... Also, I want the wifi back...
